city in Summer
Despite what we have experienced with the coronavirus, you can still enjoy all these typical plans in the capital of Malaga during our wonderful summer.
A day at the beach in El Palo or Pedregalejo
One of the first ideas that surely comes to your mind is to go to the beach, of course, which could not be missing in our list of the best things to do in Malaga. We go further and we propose you go to the beach of El Palo in the eastern part of the city. The good thing about this beach is that you can find many typical beach bars in Malaga with very affordable prices where you can try the famous "espetos de Malaga". Another option, a little closer to the city, is the beach of Pedregalejo, very well known in Malaga and a nice place to spend a nice day at the beach. Here you can find the beach of Las Acacias which is characterised by its breakwaters.
Watching the sunset in La Malagueta
We continue near Pedregalejo, now we suggest that after an intense day at the beach you go to the area around Los Baños del Carmen, a unique setting in the city. After Los Baños del Carmen, the Malagueta beach begins, from where you can take a quiet walk and enjoy a unique sunset that you can only experience in Malaga. It is, without a doubt, one of our favourite plans for those who don't know what to do this summer in Malaga, as you will enjoy an unforgettable experience.
Enjoy the Summer Cinema on the beach
Summer cinema nights are already a classic in Malaga, a plan for the whole family that will be revived on the beaches and in the neighbourhoods of the capital with a very varied programme. This year, animated films, Spanish blockbusters and thrillers will have a great presence. It is truly one of the best plans if you don't know what to do this summer in Malaga, as there will be screenings every week.
Go to the Malaga Fair
Undoubtedly one of the biggest events of the year in our city is the Feria de Malaga, which this year will take place in September. The Malaga Fair is a great opportunity to get to know the culture of Malaga. In the morning, we recommend you to go to the Real de Málaga where you can see a multitude of people dressed in flamenco costumes in horse-drawn carriages. But if you're more of a night owl, the fair has more than a hundred stalls where you can enjoy yourself until the early hours of the morning. And for the little ones, the rides and stalls will delight them. If you're in Malaga at this time of year, this is something not to be missed. You can't miss the Feria in the centre of Malaga either, the whole of the city centre is dressed up as a Feria to offer a unique folkloric experience.
The Feria is a great way to see the city centre.
Take an electric bike tour
One of the best options to get to know Malaga in a short time is to take a guided tour. You can see for yourself, on TripAdvisor 98% of our customers are very satisfied with the experience and recommend it. The best part? The 2-hour electric bike tour. Click here to find out more.
