The colorful cube of Pompidou’s center

It was inaugurated in 2015, by the president of the Spanish government. The centre's container is a building called El Cubo, a space designed by the city's Urban Planning Department through its architects Javier Pérez de la Fuente and Juan Antonio Marín Malavé.

Botanical Garden, Histórico La Concepción

Built by Rafael Echevarria around 1920, it affords views of the cathedral, the castle and Gibralfaro Hill, the Malaga Hills, the Mediterranean Sea and the luxuriant woods of the San Jose Estate on the other side of the motorway. It gets a bit stiffy on the way so we recommend going there with an electric bike. Especially in summer!

“Graffities” in Soho

Just next to the Hotel Bahía Málaga, they paint in black the outline of the 30-metre long mural that is already peeking out from the façade of the Hotel Bahía Málaga, as part of the second edition of the festival Málaga, Arte Urbano en el Soho (MAUS). They wanted to make a work that has a connection with the city. Then if you just walk around in the Soho district, and pay attention, you will see lots of graffiti from very small to huge wall paintings.

Port of Malaga at the sunrise

This pier, which runs parallel to the Paseo de los Curas, is the Palmeral de las Sorpresas, was opened to the public in 2011. It has been designed by the architects Jerónimo Junquera and Liliana Obal. It consists of a pedestrian area under a palm tree frame and a pergola that runs parallel to the pier. The place is very popular at night, some artists are playing and singing in the street, others are showing their art.
