Málaga has lots of places of interests and sights to be seen! Such as the Roman theatre, the Picasso museum and lots of Art. Some of these are always free and some are only free on Sundays.

Teatro Romano (Roman theatre):
It's one of the oldest Roman theatre’s in Spain, built in the first century B.C. and was used till the third century. The restauration was finished in 2011 and is nowadays being used as a theatre occasionally. more information
Centro de Arte Contemporaneo (art):
Museum in which you can find modern art from the 20th and 21st century, among which; video’s, photos and paintings. meer informatie
Museo Jorge Rando:
This is a small museum with art of the painter Jorge Rando, you can even join him in his atelier. more information
Museo nacional de aeropuertos y transporte (aviation museum):
In this museum you can find aviation pieces such as antique airplanes, helicopters and much, much more. The slogan for this museum is; touching is learning! more information
Museo de Malaga:
Extensive collection of several paintings and statues from different painters. And of course there is art from the famous Pablo Picasso. more information

Alcazaba:
The Alcazaba is built against the Gibralfaro hill, so you have a stunning view over the centre, the park and the harbour! You can find the entrance next to the Roman theatre. more information
Castillo de Gibralfaro (castle):
The Gibralfaro castle lies on top of a 130m high hill, you can reach the castle walls taking stairs. From these walls you have a beautiful view over Málaga. In the castle's centre you'll find a small museum with a maquette and army uniforms worn during Moorish domination of Málaga during Moorish domination.more information
Jardin Botanico (Botanical garden):
The botanical garden of Málaga is beautiful! If you want to escape the crowdie city then this is a good idea. more information
Museo Picasso:
The Picasso museum is powered by the family of Picasso and that’s why the exhibition consist of family property. more information
Casa natal de Picasso (house of birth):
On the corner of Plaza de la Merced you can find the house of birth of the famous painter Picasso. The house is open to public as a museum, walking around in his house feels like you have just stepped into his life (1881 - 1973) His statue is sitting on a bench on the square, touch his head and you can be sure you will return to Malaga in the future! more information
Museo Carmen Thyssen:
In this museum you’ll find beautiful paintings in typical old Andalusian atmospheres. This is THE address for all people interested in the Spanish culture, even if you are not a real ARTlover. more information
Centro Pompidou:
This building is a real eye-catcher… It is a museum with various pieces of art. First it was meant to be a parking garage or a big supermarket. Plans were changed into a museum.
The Pompidou museum, a beautiful building, located at the harbour is really worth your visit.more information

Museo automovilistico y de la moda (Automobile & fashion museum):
A museum with a collection of 90 cars, gathered by a Portuguese businessman. The entrance of the museum is decorated with vintage fashion from the 20th century, including famous designer pieces of Chanel and Dior!
